Using E-mail, one can do spam, scam, and spread bad program or computer viruses. Therefore we must be careful when using e-mail. Here are eleven tips to safely use email. Hope you agree to these.

1. Be careful when opening email attachments. It is a major source of virus infection. They may contain what are known as "letterbombs" or "virus", which can damage computer system. Never open an attachment from someone you do not know. If you know the sender but not expecting an attachment, check back to the sender if he really sent the attachment before you open it. But if forced to open it, you should first scan the attachment with updated antivirus program.
2. Keep your personal information carefully. If an incoming e-mails asking for credit card numbers, bank information, or other personal information, make sure that you trust the site and verify that the transaction system is secure. If you are not sure, better not give it.
3. Be careful when clicking links in e-mail. Link in e-mail is often used as part of phishing scams and spyware, even they also can transmit the virus.
4. Keep your e-mail password safely. You need to change it regularly if it contains very secret messages. In addition, passwords that use a combination of letters and numbers will be more difficult for others to guess.
5. If a message asking or requiring to fill in the username or password from a particular account at a specific website with any reasons, such as server maintenance, etc., then you should really be careful. Because that link could be not the original link, but link from a fake site.
10. If you open an e-mail using the e-mail manager such as Thunderbird, Windows Mail, Outlook Express, Eudora, Pegasus Mail, or else, make sure to always use the latest version because it would also contain the latest security features.
11. For preventive way, back up your email regularly. If your e-mail is in trouble, at least you will not miss important emails.
